Date night @ Sketch

So Tom and I don’t usually call night’s out ‘date nights’ as we generally see each other and do things together quite a bit and as we don’t have children, we have time for each other, but when we don’t we like to make sure we have schedule some 'us' time, if you will.

Tom has recently quit his job to go it alone in the Design and Illustration world (go check him out www.tomgaul.com), the first few months have been overwhelmingly busy, plus with all we have going on right now with the new house, we need date nights! We decided to schedule a couple special nights, just us. Him first, and he whisked me off for a surprise night at Sketch. It was our first time there and i was so wowed by the beauty of the room, it was dreamy and the David Shrigley art work was a pleasure to be amongst, we secretly wanted to walk round looking at it all…!

The food was lovely - i've had better steaks, but with all the delicious steak restaurants in London, that's not hard. Wasn't huge on the potato Dauphinoise either, but over all the service, food and atmosphere was gorgeous. Unfortunately i've not taken the best detailed food shots, but here's a few of the night...

Cheers - btw the Pisco Sours was AMAZING

Gladly this isn't a date night i"ll be forgetting about in a hurry!
Obligatory Sketch toilet shot
Hopefully be back soon for with some decorating chatter xx

Musings of the last few months…x

Ok, alright, SO, so far this blogging lark hasn’t quite gone so well, don’t they say its hard getting into in at first…? Ok well it is for me. Its kind of like getting a new diary for Christmas and writing in it until mid January.
I think where i fail with blogging is that half the time i don’t particularly want to take a camera out with me, so all i’ll grace the interweb with is iPhone photos. Must. Try. Harder.

My life right now is pretty hectic, we’ve recently exchanged and completed on a new house which required a complete refurb…! I’d like to blog progress, so watch this space, literally. Lets see how organised i can be. Lets hope the blog posts won’t just be me moaning of how much painting i have to do…!

Here is a photo of me, i am in Brighton for the Mod Weekender back when it stayed light past 16:00...

See you soon xx
